Do not accept substitues as your braking will suffer. The sintered pads brake harder over short time periods transfering less heat into your discs, calipers and fluid. This results in firm braking, reduced disc cracking and longer brake component life. The use of organic mountain bike pads might save a few bob but will cost you in the long run and will cause you to continually having to adjust your master cylinder adjuster.
