Some of you may b    e aware of OSB 34 (TIN-05-2022). For those of you who aren’t, please read and ensure you follow the mandatory notice.

Please inspect your plastic batten tips on the lower wing battens in line with the C42 maintenance schedule. In some cases, these batten tips have broken off and/or fallen out, causing damage and compromising the structural integrity of the wing spar. We have also seen cases where the batten has been incorrectly installed (pushed in too far) which will have the same damaging effect on the spar.

It is highly unlikely that damage of this severity occurred between the 50hrs inspections scheduled for this area.
